Globe Life - Budget cuts and project freezes?

Hey all, been at Globe Life for a few years now and things are feeling... different. Not hearing any official layoff news, but there's a definite chill in the air. My department's been told to "prioritize ruthlessly" and several upcoming projects are suddenly "on hold indefinitely." It feels like the budget tap is being turned down. Anyone else experiencing similar project slowdowns or hearing whispers about budget tightening? Trying to gauge if this is company-wide or just my corner of the world. Also, anyone know if there's been any hiring freezes announced anywhere? Just feels a bit uncertain.

Yeah, I've noticed something similar in my area. It's not just you. There's definitely a sense of caution right now, with resources feeling a bit more constrained than usual. We're also being asked to re-evaluate priorities and some initiatives that seemed solid a few months ago are now in limbo. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, for sure. Hoping it's just a temporary recalibration.

Same here. The 'ruthless prioritization' memo went around my team too, and projects are getting shelved left and right. It's frustrating because a lot of good work was being done. Definitely feels like a budget tightening is underway, whether they're calling it that or not. Hopefully, it's just a strategic pause and not a sign of deeper issues. Curious to see how things shake out over the next quarter.
