Globe Life - Slowdown in new projects?

Hey everyone. Been with Globe Life for a few years now, and things have felt...different lately. Management's been pretty quiet on the future direction, and it feels like there's a general slowdown in new initiatives or major projects getting approved. Is anyone else in a department seeing a pause or a significant reduction in the pipeline? It's not just my team; I've heard similar sentiments from folks in other areas too. Trying to get a read on the general vibe. Not hearing any direct layoff talk, but the lack of forward momentum is a bit concerning. Anyone else picking up on this? Curious if it's company-wide or if I'm just in a slow spot. Just want to prepare myself mentally if things are shifting.

I've noticed a similar trend, actually. It's less about overt cuts and more about a feeling of inertia, if that makes sense. Approvals seem to take longer, and there's a definite lack of buzz around launching new things. It's making it a bit challenging to stay motivated when you're not seeing exciting new work on the horizon. Hoping it's just a temporary phase and things pick up soon.

Yeah, that quietness is definitely palpable. We're finding it hard to get traction on some of our more innovative ideas. It feels like the focus has shifted to maintaining the status quo rather than pushing for growth or new ventures. Definitely makes you wonder what the strategic priorities are internally. Curious to see if anyone has insight into why this might be happening.
