Anyone else hearing whispers about Q3 restructuring at GFS?

Is anyone else getting a weird vibe in the office lately? I’ve been with GFS for a few years now, and the atmosphere feels… tense. I’ve noticed a lot more closed-door meetings in management, and the typical "growth" talk from leadership feels like it’s being replaced by "efficiency" and "streamlining operations." I haven't seen any formal announcements or WARN notices, but the rumors in the warehouse and corporate are starting to get louder. It’s hard to tell if this is just normal end-of-quarter pressure or if they’re actually prepping for a reduction in force. I know margins have been tight with rising logistics costs, but I really don’t want to be blindsided. Has anyone heard anything concrete from their regionals or department leads? Trying to figure out if I need to update my resume this weekend or if I'm just being paranoid. Any insight from the distribution side would be appreciated.

I’ve been hearing the exact same thing on the floor lately. The shift from talking about expansion to focusing on 'efficiency' is the classic precursor to a shake-up. Management is definitely tight-lipped, but the amount of time they’re spending behind closed doors suggests something is brewing for Q3. It’s hard to stay focused when you have no idea if your role is on the chopping block, but honestly, this kind of corporate silence is standard procedure before they drop the bad news. Just keep your resume updated and stay low.

Honestly, try not to read too much into the office gossip just yet. Every company goes through these cycles of streamlining, and it doesn't always mean massive layoffs are coming. It’s more likely they are just cleaning up processes or realigning budgets for the end of the year. I’ve survived a few of these 'tense' phases before at GFS, and it usually blows over once the quarter officially wraps up. Just focus on your work, keep your head down, and wait for an official email before you start stressing yourself out.
