Anyone else seeing projects get shelved or delayed at Halliburton?

Hey all, been with Hali for a few years now, mostly on the operations side. Lately, it feels like a lot of the bigger initiatives and even some routine projects my group was working on are being put on indefinite hold or significantly scaled back. Budgets seem tighter than usual, and there's a general sense of 'wait and see' from management. It's starting to impact our day-to-day and morale is definitely taking a hit. Just wondering if this is a widespread thing across the company or if it's localized to our sector/region. Feels like a precursor to something, but maybe I'm just being paranoid. Anyone else experiencing this? What are your thoughts?

Yeah, definitely seeing some of that on my end too, though maybe not to the same extent. We've had a few planned equipment upgrades pushed back, and some R&D efforts are definitely moving at a slower pace than anticipated. It feels like there's a bit more caution in the air when it comes to spending, even on things that seem pretty essential. Trying to stay positive and focus on what we *can* control, but it's a bit unsettling.

Interesting to hear you're experiencing similar things. On the technology side, we've noticed a slowdown in new software rollouts and even some planned training sessions being postponed. There's a definite air of belt-tightening and a more risk-averse approach to investments. It's understandable given market fluctuations, but it does make planning long-term projects challenging when you're not sure what resources will be available down the line. Hope things pick up soon.
