Honestly, I think you're overthinking it. Every year around this time, people start panicking about budget cycles and headcount. The company is just trying to maximize margins for the shareholders, which is standard procedure in this industry. If you’re performing well and keeping your metrics up, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Just focus on your current projects and stop listening to the office gossip mill; it never does anyone any good.
