Productivity push at The Hartford - layoffs coming?

So, I've noticed a serious uptick in management pushing for 'productivity' metrics over the last quarter at The Hartford. Lots of meetings about KPIs, streamlining processes, and generally working 'smarter, not harder.' While I'm all for efficiency, it feels like they're laying the groundwork for something. It's gone from normal performance reviews to an almost constant barrage of requests for reports and data that seem designed to flag underperformers. My gut feeling is that this is the precursor to some sort of reduction in force. Has anyone else picked up on this? Wondering if this is a company-wide push or if I'm just in a particularly scrutinized department. Any insights from those who've seen this before elsewhere?

I've been hearing similar rumblings. The focus on metrics has definitely intensified. It makes you wonder if they're trying to justify cost-cutting measures or if there's a genuine restructuring happening. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst feels like the prudent approach right now.

That's interesting. My experience has been a bit different, more emphasis on collaboration and innovation lately. Maybe it varies by department? I'd be cautious about jumping to conclusions about layoffs – sometimes these 'productivity pushes' are just a standard cycle to try and improve operations. Let's see how things shake out.
