The Hartford: Silent changes happening?

Hey everyone, I've been at The Hartford for a few years now and lately, things have felt... off. It's not like there are official announcements or anything concrete, but I'm sensing a shift. My team's workload has been increasing, and we're seeing fewer new hires on board, even in areas that usually are. There's also been a lot more talk about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' in meetings, which usually translates to something less pleasant down the line. I've tried to gauge the vibe from colleagues in other departments, and many feel the same. It's like a slow-burn uncertainty. No one's openly talking about layoffs, but the feeling of a potential downturn is definitely in the air. Has anyone else picked up on these subtle changes? Is it just me or is something brewing internally at THG? Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar things or if this is just my department's bubble.

I've noticed something similar. The 'efficiency' talk is definitely a buzzword that makes me uneasy. It feels like they're trying to do more with less, and it's putting a strain on existing staff. Hopefully, it's just a temporary phase and not a sign of deeper issues. Keep your eyes peeled and share any other observations if you see them.

Interesting perspective. I haven't been there as long, but I've heard whispers about workload increases too. It's tough when you feel the pressure mounting without clear communication about why. 'Streamlining' can mean a lot of different things, and not all of them are good for the employees. Hope you're able to get some clarity soon.
