I've been noticing it too, although from a different angle. As a vendor who works with various hotel properties, I've seen some shifts in operational budgets and a push for more cost-saving measures across the board. It's not just one or two locations; it feels more widespread. Less budget for new initiatives, more emphasis on squeezing efficiency out of existing resources. It's making our conversations about new partnerships or expanded services a bit more challenging lately. Definitely feeling that 'chill' you mentioned.
It's interesting to hear others are feeling a shift. While I'm not in corporate, I do work at a Hilton-branded property and we've definitely been feeling the pressure to increase occupancy and revenue with fewer resources. Staffing levels are tight, and there's been a real focus on maximizing efficiency with existing teams. Training budgets have been cut, and we're being asked to do more with less. It's creating a bit of a stressful environment, and morale isn't exactly sky-high.
