I'm in a similar boat at a different Hilton property. It feels like we're constantly being asked to do more with less, and the promises of backfilling positions seem to go nowhere. It's definitely impacting morale and the quality of service we can provide. I've also started to worry about the long-term sustainability of this level of workload. It's frustrating to see good people leave and feel like the company isn't prioritizing retaining talent or ensuring adequate staffing. Hopefully, things improve soon.
That sounds incredibly stressful. It's a tough situation when workloads become unmanageable and it feels like your concerns aren't being heard. I've seen similar patterns before, and it often does lead to burnout and dissatisfaction. It's disheartening when you're dedicated to your job and the company, only to feel like you're being stretched too thin without adequate support. Hopefully, management will recognize the severity of the situation before it causes irreparable damage to the team and operations.
