Quiet hiring freeze at Hilton? Seeing fewer new faces.

Hi all, Been noticing a significant slowdown in hiring across my department at Hilton recently. We had a few roles open up that seemed like they would be filled quickly, but they've been sitting vacant for months. Even internal transfers seem to be getting stalled or rejected more often than usual. It's odd because there hasn't been any announcement about hiring pauses or budget cuts. It makes me wonder if management is quietly implementing a hiring freeze without making it public. Is anyone else seeing this? Maybe it's just specific to certain roles or brands, but it feels pretty widespread from my perspective. Curious to hear if others have experienced similar slowdowns in recruitment or if there are any rumors circulating about staffing adjustments. Just trying to get a sense of what's happening behind the scenes.

I've seen something similar in my area. It feels like the pace has definitely slowed, and open positions are lingering much longer than they used to. It's definitely creating some extra work for the teams that are already stretched thin. Not sure if it's a full freeze or just a significant tightening, but the effect is noticeable.

That's interesting you mention that. I hadn't picked up on a formal freeze, but the hiring pipeline certainly feels sluggish.
