Hologic - Anyone else feeling the pinch? Budget cuts?

Just wondering if anyone else at Hologic is seeing signs of budget tightening or hiring slowdowns? My team's been told to "prioritize essential projects" and some planned new hires are suddenly "on hold indefinitely." It's starting to feel a bit eerie, not gonna lie. We haven't had any official word about layoffs or anything like that, and I know we're not a company that historically does massive RIFs, but the whispers are starting. Is this just a general economic slowdown affecting us, or is there something specific happening at Hologic that I'm missing? Anyone in other departments hearing similar things? Curious to hear if anyone has any concrete info or just general gut feelings. Trying not to stress, but it's hard when the purse strings feel like they're getting tighter.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed things are a bit slower on the hiring front. It seems like most new positions are getting a much closer look before being approved, and some internal transfers have been put on the back burner. My department is also being asked to be very strategic about spending, so it's not just your team. Hopefully, it's a temporary phase and not a sign of bigger issues down the road.

I'm not seeing anything as drastic as you are, but there's a definite shift in how projects are being evaluated. Everything feels like it needs a more robust business case now, and some of the 'nice-to-haves' are definitely getting pushed aside for the 'must-haves.' It's understandable given the current economic climate, but it does make planning a bit more challenging when things feel uncertain. We'll have to wait and see what official communication comes out.
