Anyone else feeling the squeeze on OT?

Lately, it feels like getting approval for overtime at Home Depot is becoming a whole lot harder. My ASD has been really cracking down, even when we're clearly swamped. I've been seeing managers really pushing back on any requests, saying we need to 'optimize' and 'be more efficient.' It's getting frustrating because we're the ones on the floor dealing with customers and trying to keep departments stocked. When we're understaffed, and we can't even get a little extra time to finish the work, things start to slip. I'm worried this is a sign of something bigger, like they're trying to cut labor costs significantly. Has anyone else noticed this trend or heard anything about potential staffing changes?

Yeah, I've noticed that too. It's like they're trying to cut costs everywhere, and OT is an easy target. The problem is, when they don't staff properly, we end up doing the same amount of work in less time, which just leads to more stress and burnout. Customers get frustrated, and honestly, so do we. It's a tough balance to strike, and it feels like management isn't really seeing the full picture of what it takes to keep things running smoothly on a daily basis.
