How's scheduling looking for the fall?

Hey everyone, starting to feel a bit of a shift in the air at my store. Hours seem to be getting a little tighter, and I'm wondering if others are seeing the same. My ASDM mentioned "optimizing labor" but it sounds like typical corporate speak for cutting back. Is this happening everywhere, or just my region? Wondering if it's worth trying to pick up more hours now before things potentially get worse, or if it's a lost cause. Been at HD for a couple years, usually pretty stable around this time of year but this feels different. Anyone else seeing changes in their store's scheduling patterns heading into Q4?

Yeah, I'm definitely noticing the same thing at my store. Seems like every department is being asked to do more with less. My manager is always talking about efficiency, but it just feels like they're squeezing us. I've been trying to grab extra shifts where I can, but even those are getting harder to come by. It's a little concerning, honestly. Hoping it's just a seasonal thing and things pick back up after the holidays.

Totally feel you on this. My store has been pushing the 'all hands on deck' thing pretty hard, but the actual hours offered aren't reflecting that. It's like they want us to be available for anything, but then won't give us the hours to make it worth our while. I'm not sure if it's worth the stress of trying to chase down extra hours if they're just going to be scarce anyway. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it shakes out.
