Is anyone else seeing a shift in how they're managing staffing levels?

Curious to hear from others about how staffing is being handled in your stores or departments. I've noticed that call-outs are becoming a bigger problem, and it feels like we're consistently short-handed during peak times. Instead of calling in more people, it seems like they're just expecting the existing staff to pick up the slack. I've seen fewer part-time hours being offered too, even for reliable people. It's tough to keep up with the workload, and frankly, it's starting to impact customer service, which I know is the last thing anyone wants. Is this a company-wide thing, or just my region? Trying to understand if this is a sign of something bigger brewing or just a temporary squeeze.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed that too. It feels like they're trying to run leaner everywhere, and it's making things really difficult when unexpected call-outs happen. We're constantly scrambling to cover shifts, and the customer service definitely takes a hit because nobody has time to do more than the absolute basics. It's frustrating to see fewer hours for dedicated people when the work is clearly piling up. Hope it gets better soon.

I'm seeing the same thing. It's like a constant juggling act trying to keep everything running smoothly when you're always short-staffed. Management seems to expect us to just absorb the extra work, but it's not sustainable long-term. Customers are getting impatient, and honestly, we're getting burnt out. It would be nice to see a more proactive approach to staffing instead of just hoping for the best.
