Just had the worst interview of my life

So, I had an interview for a specialty role at the Atlanta HQ. I thought I was well-prepared, but the hiring manager seemed completely disinterested from the start. They barely made eye contact, and their questions were super generic. Then they asked me about a specific project I listed on my resume, and when I started explaining it, they cut me off and started scrolling through their phone! Seriously? It was the most disrespectful thing I've ever experienced. I know interviews aren't always a two-way street, but come on, at least pretend to care. I'm venting, I know, but it's frustrating when companies waste your time like that. The entire process, from applying to the interview, felt incredibly disorganized. I'm starting to wonder if they even know what they're looking for. Rant over.

Wow, that sounds incredibly frustrating. I've been there, though not quite *that* bad. Sometimes hiring managers are just having a terrible day or are dealing with some internal drama. It doesn't excuse their behavior, but it might explain it. Don't let it get you down too much! Dust yourself off and keep applying. Their loss, honestly. There are plenty of companies that would appreciate your skills and experience.

Hmm, I find that hard to believe. Are you sure you were as prepared as you thought? Sometimes we overestimate how well we articulate our experience, especially with niche roles. Maybe they saw something on your resume or heard something else that made them lose interest? It's possible the phone thing was rude, but maybe there's another side to the story. I'm not saying it's *your* fault, but maybe reflect on how you presented yourself.
