This resonates so much. It feels like the people making decisions are looking at spreadsheets and not the actual aisles. We're supposed to be merchandising displays and helping customers, but half the time we're scrambling to find enough staff to even open all the registers. The constant pressure for metrics without the backing makes it incredibly frustrating for everyone trying to do their job well.
I've definitely noticed that too. It's tough when you're on the floor, dealing with customers and stock, and you hear about these big corporate ideas that just don't seem practical for a busy Saturday. The gap between what's expected and what's actually feasible with the current team and resources is huge. Makes you wonder if they're truly seeing the daily realities.
