Anyone else getting weird vibes in Aerospace this week?

Is it just me, or has the atmosphere at the office felt incredibly tense lately? I’ve noticed a few more closed-door meetings than usual, and leadership is being extra tight-lipped about the Q3 targets. I’ve been hearing whispers about budget tightening across several business units, but nothing official has come down from the top yet. It’s starting to feel like the calm before a storm. I’ve been through a few cycles at Honeywell before, and this specific kind of quiet usually precedes an announcement. Has anyone else heard anything concrete from their VPs or directors, or am I just reading into the general corporate malaise? I’m trying to decide if I need to start polishing my resume this weekend or if I’m just being paranoid. Any insights from those closer to the decision-makers would be appreciated.

I’ve definitely noticed the same thing. Those closed-door meetings are becoming a daily occurrence, and the lack of transparency from management is really fueling the anxiety on the floor. It feels like every time I walk past a conference room, there’s another hushed conversation cutting off the second the door opens. I’ve been trying to focus on my deliverables, but the rumors about a potential restructuring are making it hard to concentrate. If they are planning to tighten the budget, I just wish they would rip the band-aid off so we can stop guessing about our job security.

You aren't imagining things. This level of radio silence is classic Honeywell behavior whenever they’re preparing for a massive shift in direction. It’s frustrating because we’re the ones expected to keep hitting aggressive milestones while everything feels like it's hanging in the balance. Honestly, I’ve started updating my resume on the side just in case. It’s better to be prepared for the worst than to get caught off guard when they finally decide to issue a formal memo about the Q3 shortfall. Hang in there, but keep your options open.
