Anyone else feeling the 'streamlining' heat lately?

Is it just me, or does it feel like Honeywell is trying to do more with less until the whole structure collapses? With the news about the 131 cuts in NJ, plus the stuff we've been hearing about other locations, it’s getting hard to focus on actual projects. Every single meeting now starts with a slide deck about 'efficiency' and 'synergy,' which is usually code for 'get ready for more departures.' I’ve got friends in different divisions, and they’re all saying the same thing: middle management has no answers, and HR is basically ghosting anyone who asks about long-term stability. Is there any department actually safe right now, or is it just a matter of time for all of us? I’m exhausted from looking over my shoulder every time my manager schedules a 1:1. Thinking about polishing the resume this weekend because this culture of constant anxiety is not sustainable.

It is the same old story every single quarter. They talk about 'synergy' and 'streamlining' until everyone is burned out, but the actual output just keeps getting worse. I have been through three rounds of these 'restructuring' initiatives, and it never results in better processes—just more work for the people left behind. The morale in my department is at an all-time low because nobody knows if they will still have a seat by next month. It is honestly exhausting to watch them chase these short-term stock bumps while the actual culture falls apart.

I have stopped paying attention to the slide decks and the buzzwords. At this point, I just keep my head down, do the absolute bare minimum required to hit my KPIs, and spend my lunch breaks polishing my resume. The NJ news was just the latest blow in a long pattern of treating employees like disposable line items on a spreadsheet. If you are waiting for leadership to value the institutional knowledge or the people who actually keep the lights on, you are going to be disappointed. Better to be prepared to jump ship before the next round of 'efficiency' hits your desk.
