Yeah, I've been getting similar vibes over in the building automation side. Budget discussions are unusually tight, and there's been a lot of talk about 'optimizing resources' which usually means something's up. My team lead is also being really evasive about any hiring plans for next quarter. It’s unsettling because things were pretty robust just a few months ago. I’m hoping it’s just a seasonal slowdown or a strategic realignment, but the caution is definitely palpable across the board.
Honestly, I think you might be reading too much into it. Honeywell is a huge company, and project timelines shift all the time. Budgets get reallocated, priorities change. It doesn't automatically mean a headcount freeze. I'm in performance materials, and things seem pretty standard. Maybe focus on delivering strong results in your current role? That's usually the best way to weather any uncertainty. Plus, if a freeze does happen, those who are performing well are often the last to be affected.
