Honeywell - Anyone else feeling the jitters?

Hey everyone, been with Honeywell for a few years now in [department/division, e.g., Aerospace]. Lately, there's been a weird vibe in the air. Not any official announcements or anything, but you can just feel it. A lot of hushed conversations, some reorg rumors that never quite materialize, and a general sense of 'what's next?'. Been seeing fewer new hires in some areas and a general slowdown in project staffing. Is anyone else noticing this? Trying to gauge if it's just my specific team or if it's a broader thing across Honeywell. Trying not to panic, but it's hard not to wonder, especially with the current economic climate. Any insights from others in different parts of the company?

Yeah, I'm picking up on something similar over in Performance Materials and Technologies. It's subtle, but definitely there. Lots of 'optimizing resources' talk, which usually translates to fewer people doing more work, or eventually, fewer people altogether. Been trying to stay optimistic and focus on my own projects, but it's hard not to feel a bit uneasy when the general mood seems to be one of cautious waiting. Let's hope it's just the usual corporate ebb and flow.

Interesting you bring this up. In the Building Technologies sector, we've also had some quieter periods lately. Fewer big, splashy new initiatives and more focus on existing product lines and efficiency improvements. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does feel like a shift from the growth-oriented atmosphere we had a couple of years ago. I’ve attributed it to market conditions, but the 'hushed conversations' you mention resonate. Curious to see if others in different divisions feel it too.
