Honeywell - Anyone else getting the 'belt-tightening' feeling?

Curious to hear from others at Honeywell. It feels like there's a definite shift towards cost-saving measures happening. I'm not talking about outright layoffs, as there's been no official announcement, but the general atmosphere feels different. Budgets for travel and training seem much tighter, and there's a lot more scrutiny on expenses. We've also seen some projects get put on hold or scaled back, even ones that seemed promising. It's making me wonder if leadership is anticipating some economic headwinds or if there's a broader strategic shift underway. On a personal level, I'm starting to think more about my own financial security and career path, just in case. Anyone else feeling this? Any chatter in your divisions about increased financial discipline or operational streamlining?

Yeah, I'm definitely picking up on that too. It's not just you. The expense report scrutiny has been next-level lately, and I've noticed a lot more 'need to justify' conversations before anything gets approved. Even simple things like ordering supplies feel more challenging. It's created a bit of an anxious vibe, for sure. Hoping it's just a temporary phase and not indicative of something bigger down the line.

Completely agree. The 'belt-tightening' is palpable. My department has had to really re-evaluate our discretionary spending, and cross-team collaboration that involves travel is almost non-existent now unless it's absolutely critical. It makes it harder to foster innovation when you can't easily connect with colleagues or explore new ideas in person. Makes you wonder about the long-term strategy.
