Honeywell - Seeing a lot of internal reshuffling and focus on 'efficiency'

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else is feeling the vibes at Honeywell lately. Over the past few months, I've noticed a significant increase in internal 'restructuring' announcements and a lot of talk about 'optimizing resources' and 'driving efficiency.' It feels like every other week there's a new initiative or a reorganization happening in different departments. On top of that, there's been a noticeable slowdown in external hiring, at least in my area, and a lot of emphasis on internal mobility, which is great, but also feels a bit like they're trying to fill gaps without bringing in fresh talent. Performance metrics also seem to be tightening up across the board. It's making me a little antsy, honestly. Anyone else experiencing something similar or have any insights into what might be driving this? Trying not to panic, but the underlying current feels a bit uncertain.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. It's like they're trying to squeeze every last drop out of operations. While efficiency is generally good, the constant shuffling and vague pronouncements are starting to create a bit of unease. Makes you wonder if it's a strategic move or just a reaction to current market pressures. Hopefully, it leads to something positive and doesn't just result in more headaches for the people on the ground.

Interesting to hear others are noticing the same. The focus on 'efficiency' seems to be the buzzword of the year. While cost-cutting is understandable in any business climate, the continuous internal changes do make it hard to get settled into projects. It can be a bit demotivating when you're always adapting to new structures. Let's hope this period of adjustment ultimately strengthens the company and provides clearer direction.
