Is the Austin reduction part of a larger consolidation?

Seeing the news about the 43 layoffs in Austin today makes me wonder how much longer we’re going to be told that we are 'doing more with less.' Every all-hands meeting is just a different variation of the same buzzword bingo. They keep pushing these efficiency metrics, but the actual headcount keeps shrinking while the workload stays exactly the same. It feels like they’re gutting the legacy teams to pay for whatever the next big initiative is that nobody actually asked for. I’ve been here long enough to see the cycles, but this feels different—there’s zero transparency. Are we just slowly being hollowed out? Would love to hear if other sites are seeing similar numbers, or if this was just a localized cut. Seems like nobody is safe regardless of performance ratings anymore.
