Anyone else feeling the pressure at Hormel lately?

Hey everyone, been with Hormel for a few years now and things feel… tense. Not seeing any official layoff news, but there's definitely a different vibe. Budgets seem tighter, projects are getting shelved more often, and there's a general sense of uncertainty that wasn't there before. Leadership talk is all about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining,' which, you know, usually translates to headcount reduction down the line. Anyone else in different departments picking up on this? Is it just me, or is the 'Hormel Harmony' feeling a bit off-key these days? Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar shifts or if I'm just overthinking things. Trying to stay positive, but it's getting harder.

I've been noticing the same thing in my division. The 'efficiency' talk definitely feels like code for belt-tightening, and it's creating a lot of quiet anxiety. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like your role might be on the chopping block, even if nothing's been said directly. Lots of whispered conversations about reassignments and reduced resources, too. Hoping it's just a seasonal adjustment, but the feeling of unease is palpable.

Yeah, the mood has definitely shifted. It feels like there's less room for error and more pressure to hit every single target, even with fewer resources. Some of the creative projects we used to get approval for are getting shut down before they even start. It makes you wonder about the long-term strategy and where the company is heading, especially with the emphasis on cost-cutting.
