I hear you. It's a shame when that 'family' feeling starts to erode. I've noticed the silo effect too, and it definitely makes collaboration harder. When you don't feel connected to other teams or leadership, it's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture and your own contribution. It makes you wonder if the focus has shifted away from the people who actually make the products. Hopefully, things can shift back towards genuine connection.
That 'canned PR speak' is a killer. It feels like they're trying to paper over real issues with buzzwords instead of addressing them head-on. The fragmentation you mentioned is real – it's like different parts of the company are operating in their own little bubbles. Hard to feel motivated or that your work matters when you're not sure it's even being heard or understood by the people making decisions. Definitely a tough environment right now.
