Howmet Aerospace - Anyone else seeing these subtle shifts?

Hey everyone, I've been with Howmet for a few years now, and lately, I've been noticing some things that just feel...off. Not outright layoffs or anything, but definitely a tightening of the belt. We've had a couple of internal meetings about 'optimizing resources' and 'streamlining processes,' which usually sounds like corporate speak for 'watch your back.' Project scopes seem to be getting smaller, and there's a general air of caution I haven't felt before. Anyone else picking up on this? Trying to gauge if it's just my department or a wider trend. Is anyone hearing anything concrete, or is this just the usual pre-budget season jitters? Curious to hear what others are seeing or hearing on the ground. Trying not to panic, but also want to be prepared if things do start to shift.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed the same vibes around here. "Optimizing resources" sounds like a polite way of saying they're looking for places to cut corners, and I'm sure we're all hoping it doesn't trickle down to our departments. It feels like there's more scrutiny on spending, and even small things like travel requests are taking longer to get approved. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment period and not a sign of bigger issues brewing.
