Howmet job market feeling tight - anyone seeing this?

Just browsing open positions across various Howmet sites and it feels like there are way fewer roles posted than a few months ago. Same for roles that have been open for a long time. Not seeing any official announcements or anything, but the general vibe feels like the company is tightening its belt. Are recruiters ghosting more often? Are internal transfers becoming impossible? It’s making me re-evaluate my career path within the company. Anyone else in engineering, manufacturing, or corporate roles seeing a similar trend? Any advice on how to navigate this if things *are* getting tighter?

I've definitely noticed a similar trend. It's not just you. The number of postings across different departments and locations seems to have shrunk considerably. I was looking at a few positions myself and they either disappeared or have been stagnant for ages. It's a bit unsettling, to be honest, and makes you wonder what the internal strategy might be.
