Howmet: Seeing internal reshuffling and role eliminations?

Hey everyone, been with Howmet for a few years now and things feel...weird lately. No big layoff announcements, but I've definitely noticed a lot more internal movement. Some roles seem to be getting consolidated, and I've heard whispers of a few positions being 'eliminated' due to restructuring. Has anyone else in different departments or locations picked up on this? It's not like the mass layoffs we've seen at other aerospace giants, but it feels like a slow, steady bleed. Morale seems a bit lower than usual too, people are a bit more tight-lipped. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a department going through some internal turmoil. Any insights would be appreciated, trying to figure out the lay of the land.

I've definitely felt that too, though I'm in a different division. It's more about shifts in responsibilities and some teams getting leaner than outright cuts. Feels like they're trying to optimize, but it creates a lot of uncertainty for people trying to plan their careers. Keeping my head down and focusing on my work, but the water cooler talk is definitely more anxious than usual.

Yeah, the 'internal shuffling' is real. Heard similar things from colleagues in manufacturing and R&D. It's subtle, not the dramatic news everyone's braced for, but the implication is clear: some jobs aren't needed in their current form anymore.
