Lately, I've been getting a weird vibe at Howmet. It's hard to pinpoint exactly, but there's a general sense of 'waiting for something' in the air. Projects seem to be getting scrutinized more heavily, and there's a noticeable slowdown in approvals for even minor things. Not hearing about mass layoffs or anything dramatic, but the general atmosphere feels tense. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are budgets tighter than usual? Are we seeing more people being asked to do 'more with less'? Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide feeling or if I'm just in a department that's feeling the squeeze more than others. Trying to stay positive, but the underlying feeling is a bit unsettling. Anyone have any thoughts on what might be driving this, or if it's just the usual aerospace cyclical stuff?
