Hubbell - Anyone else seeing hiring freezes?

Hey all, been at Hubbell for a few years now, primarily in the engineering side. Lately, things have felt... different. Open reqs I was expecting to fill haven't moved in weeks, and when I asked my manager about it, they were pretty cagey, just saying 'resource allocation is being reviewed.' Saw another thread mentioning budget tightening, and that aligns with what I'm experiencing. Anyone else in different departments hearing similar things or noticing a general slowdown in hiring? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just my specific division. Not hearing any layoff rumors directly, but this definitely feels like a precursor. Curious to hear what others are seeing out there.

I've been with Hubbell for about five years now, and yeah, I'm definitely feeling a shift. A couple of positions on my team that were supposed to be backfilled by now are still just sitting there, with no updates. My manager's been pretty vague too, just mentioning 'internal reviews.' It's creating a bit of uncertainty, especially with projects ramping up. Hoping it's a temporary lull and not something more serious.

Definitely seeing something similar over here in procurement. We've had a couple of requisitions put on hold indefinitely, and the usual channels for getting new hires approved are suddenly much slower. It's a bit concerning, as we're already stretched thin. I've heard whispers about budget reviews across the board, so your experience sounds pretty consistent with what's going around.
