Hubbell - Anyone else's team/dept seeing reduced hiring?

Noticed a few roles on our internal job board have been taken down or are going very slowly in the process. Seems like there's been a shift from aggressive hiring a few months back to a much more cautious approach. Wondering if this is company-wide or specific to certain divisions. Has anyone else experienced this? Are budgets being scrutinized more heavily? Are there discussions about controlling headcount? Curious to hear if others are seeing similar trends in their departments or if they've heard any internal chatter about future hiring plans or potential slowdowns. Yes, I've definitely noticed a slowdown in our department as well. We had several positions open that seemed to just disappear from the internal postings, and the few that remain are moving at a snail's pace. It feels like a complete 180 from the hiring push we saw earlier in the year. I'm also wondering if it's a company-wide thing or isolated to specific areas. My sense is that budgets are under tighter review right now, and there's likely a focus on managing headcount more carefully.

We're seeing a similar trend here. It went from 'hire, hire, hire' to crickets on a lot of roles. Some of the jobs that were actively being recruited for are now listed as 'on hold' or have been removed entirely. It makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Are they re-evaluating needs, or is there a broader financial strategy shift? Definitely hearing more chatter about controlling expenses, which usually points to hiring freezes or slowdowns.
