Hubbell - Budget tightening across the board?

Lately, it feels like every expense is getting scrutinized. Travel requests are getting extra review, new software requests are getting pushed back, and even internal training budgets seem to be on hold. It's not just my team; I've heard whispers from colleagues in other departments about similar budget freezes or significant cuts. It's making planning for next year really difficult. We're being asked to hit aggressive targets, but the resources don't seem to be following. I'm trying not to panic, but it's hard to ignore the feeling that the company is bracing for something. Is this just standard end-of-year budget management, or does anyone else feel like there's a more significant financial tightening happening at Hubbell right now? Wondering if this is a precursor to bigger changes.

Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing here. It's definitely a different vibe than last year. Feels like every dollar needs to be justified twice over. Planning ahead is a real challenge when you're not sure what the budget will even look like next quarter, let alone next year. Makes it tough to get ambitious projects off the ground when you can barely get approval for essential software upgrades.

I've noticed it too. The emphasis on efficiency and cost savings is palpable. While some level of fiscal responsibility is always good, the current climate does make it harder to innovate and invest in growth. It's a balancing act, for sure. Let's hope this is a temporary phase and we can see some of those resources freed up once things stabilize.
