Humana - Redundancy concerns post-integration?

So, with all the talk about restructuring and integrating certain business units over the past year, I'm starting to get a bit worried about potential redundancies. My role is in a department that seems to have a lot of overlap with another team that was brought in during one of these integrations. No direct communication about job losses, but there's definitely been an increase in 'efficiency' discussions and analysis of team structures. It feels like management is looking for ways to streamline, which usually means less people doing the same amount of work. Has anyone else experienced or heard anything about potential role eliminations specifically related to these integration efforts? Just trying to prepare myself mentally and perhaps start looking around proactively if the writing is on the wall.

It's completely understandable why you're feeling anxious. The 'efficiency' talk and structural analysis often precede difficult decisions in large organizations, especially after integrations. The overlap you've identified is a classic indicator that management might be evaluating how to consolidate roles to eliminate duplication. While there's no direct confirmation, keeping an eye on internal communications and performance metrics can sometimes offer clues. Have you considered discreetly reaching out to trusted colleagues in similar situations to gauge their perceptions?
