Huntington - Management Cutbacks?

Long-time Huntington employee here. Just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone else is noticing a trend. Over the past quarter, I've seen a few mid-level managers in my division exit. Not explicitly layoffs, more like 'pursuing other opportunities' or early retirements, but the timing feels... coordinated. They're not backfilling these roles, and the remaining managers are visibly stressed, workloads doubling up. It's created a weird atmosphere, and people are definitely whispering. This isn't like the usual churn; it feels more strategic. Wondering if Huntington is trying to cut costs by trimming the fat at the management level before anything else happens. Anyone else in a similar boat, seeing leadership roles disappear or become consolidated? Curious if this is a widespread thing across the bank or just isolated to certain pockets. Trying to stay positive, but it's hard when the leadership structure seems to be shrinking.

I've been with Huntington for a while now and have noticed a similar pattern in my department. While not outright layoffs, there's definitely a sense of consolidation happening. Positions are going unfilled, and the pressure on the remaining staff is palpable. It's understandable why people are feeling uneasy and questioning the strategy behind these moves. Hopefully, it's a temporary adjustment and not a sign of deeper issues impacting employee morale and workload balance long-term. Interested to see how this plays out.**
