Huntington - Recent team restructuring, any insights?

Hey everyone, posting anonymously here. My team at Huntington recently underwent a restructuring. It wasn't a full-blown layoff that I'm aware of, but there were definitely some role eliminations and changes in reporting lines. A few people on my team were moved to different departments, and some positions were essentially absorbed. It's left a bit of uncertainty about future projects and staffing levels. The official line was about 'optimizing efficiency,' but it feels like more than that. Has anyone else in other areas of Huntington experienced similar shifts? Curious if this is a wider trend within the bank or just isolated to our specific division. Any insights or educated guesses would be appreciated. Trying to gauge the overall health and direction of the company.

Yeah, I've heard whispers of similar reorganizations happening in pockets of the bank. The 'efficiency' narrative is standard, but it often masks deeper strategic shifts or attempts to trim costs. It's tough when the ground feels like it's shifting beneath your feet. Hopefully, clarity on future projects emerges soon and things stabilize for your team.

Interesting to hear about your team's situation. Restructuring can be a bumpy ride, especially when the 'why' isn't fully transparent. It sounds like a challenging environment to navigate with the uncertainty. Keep an eye on internal communications for any updates about project pipelines and how staffing might evolve. Fingers crossed it leads to better opportunities in the long run.
