Just finished my performance review and it was... fine. Standard 'meets expectations' with a few 'areas for development.' But the vibe from my manager was a bit off. More cautious than usual. We talked a lot about 'efficiency' and 'future state.' It makes me wonder what the executive team is really planning. With the economic outlook and all the talk about digital transformation, I can't help but feel like some roles might be on the chopping block eventually. Anyone else feeling this pressure? Wondering if this is a good time to start polishing the resume, even if there's no official news.

I hear you. The 'efficiency' talk is definitely a buzzword these days across many industries, and banks are no exception. Digital transformation is supposed to streamline things, but it can also feel a bit unsettling when you're on the ground floor. Hopefully, 'areas for development' just means opportunities to learn new skills that will be valuable in that 'future state' they're talking about. Keep your eyes open for internal postings and professional development resources, just in case.
