IDEXX - Budget cuts or something bigger?

Wondering if anyone has any intel on what's going on at IDEXX. There's been a lot of talk around budget reviews and 'optimizations' happening across departments. Some projects I was working on have been put on hold, and there's a general sense of belt-tightening. It's not just my department; I've heard similar stories from folks in other areas. I'm not seeing any official layoff announcements, but the slowdown in hiring and the budget scrutiny are making me a bit nervous. Is this just a standard economic correction, or is there something more significant happening under the hood? Curious to hear if others are feeling this pressure and what the general sentiment is out there. Trying to figure out if this is a temporary pause or the start of something more concerning.

I've been with IDEXX for a while, and these budget reviews definitely feel more intense than usual. It's not just about 'optimizing,' it feels like a real push to reduce spending across the board. My team's projects have also been impacted, with some being postponed indefinitely. While there haven't been official announcements, the hiring freeze and the constant scrutiny of every expense are creating an unsettling atmosphere. Hoping it's a temporary measure to navigate economic shifts.

Heard similar rumblings from my end at IDEXX. The 'optimization' language is definitely a buzzword these days, and it seems to translate to less funding for initiatives that aren't immediately revenue-generating. It's a shame because some of the paused projects had real long-term potential. While I understand the need for financial prudence, the current climate feels a bit more cautious than typical cyclical adjustments. Curious to see how this plays out in the coming quarters.
