Been with ITW for a few years now, and while I haven't seen or heard any whispers of company-wide layoffs, I'm wondering if anyone has insights into potential divisional restructuring. Sometimes, even without direct headcount reductions, companies look to streamline operations by merging departments or consolidating functions, which can lead to internal shifts and, let's be honest, sometimes redundancies. Has anyone heard any rumblings about specific business units being analyzed for efficiency improvements or potential integration? Especially curious about any changes happening behind the scenes that might impact our day-to-day work or team structures in the near future. Trying to get ahead of any potential changes if possible. Appreciate any intel, even if it's just anecdotal.

I haven't heard anything concrete about major restructuring across ITW. My impression is that they tend to manage efficiency at the divisional level quite independently. It's possible some units are always being looked at for optimization, but without any broad announcements, it's likely business as usual in most places. Keep an eye on divisional communications if you're concerned.
