Hey everyone, I'm in one of the smaller ITW divisions and things have been pretty quiet lately. Haven't heard any specific layoff news, but I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing a slowdown in hiring or a freeze on new positions? We haven't had any official communication about it, but the usual pace of bringing new people on has definitely stalled. Feels like budgets are being scrutinized more closely than usual. Just trying to get a pulse on what's happening across the larger company. Is this just my division, or are others seeing something similar? Any insights would be appreciated.

I'm in a different segment of ITW and can confirm the hiring slowdown. It's not just you; it seems like a company-wide trend. We've had a few requisitions put on hold indefinitely, and the recruitment team isn't actively pushing for new roles as much. It's definitely a shift from the growth we saw a couple of years ago. Hoping it's just a temporary recalibration of resources rather than something more serious.
