With the recent layoff at Mendota, I'm getting a bit nervous about the broader picture at ITW. We've been hearing a lot about supply chain issues and general economic uncertainty, but usually, ITW has been pretty resilient. Is anyone seeing specific slowdowns in their divisions or hearing anything from leadership about future plans? Are we expecting more cuts, or is this a sign of belts tightening across the board? Trying to gauge the general sentiment and any whispers about what's coming down the pipeline. Curious to hear what others are experiencing.

The Mendota news is definitely concerning, and it's understandable why people are feeling uneasy. I haven't heard of widespread divisional slowdowns yet, but there's a definite undercurrent of caution. Leadership's messaging has been about navigating current challenges, which feels like code for belt-tightening. It's hard to say if more cuts are coming, but I suspect management is looking for efficiencies everywhere. The resilience ITW usually shows might be tested more than usual this year.
