Hey all, I'm relatively new to ITW and trying to get a better understanding of the compensation structure here, especially compared to industry standards. It seems like the pay can vary quite a bit depending on the division and the specific role. I'm curious about base salaries, bonus structures (if any are common), and stock options or grants. Is ITW generally considered competitive in the market, or are we lagging behind? Trying to figure out if my current package is in line with what others are seeing. Any insights on salary ranges for engineers, product managers, or sales roles would be super helpful. Also, any tips on how to navigate salary discussions or reviews within ITW would be great. Trying to set realistic expectations for myself.

Compensation definitely varies by division, that's for sure. Some segments are known for being very competitive, especially in technical or specialized roles, while others might be a bit more standard. Bonuses are pretty common, especially for management and above, tied to company and division performance. Stock grants are also a thing, but the value can fluctuate significantly with the market, which is typical for publicly traded companies. Overall, I'd say they're generally in the ballpark of industry standards, but it's always worth doing your own research for your specific role and location.

Yeah, it's a bit of a mixed bag. I've seen some really strong packages, particularly in areas where they're trying to attract top talent. Base salaries can be good, and bonus structures are definitely in place, usually tied to hitting certain targets. Stock options are a standard part of the mix for many positions, though the value can swing. It's not always the absolute top of the market, but for many roles, it's a solid offering. The key is definitely understanding the nuances of your specific division and role.
