It is exhausting watching the goalposts shift every few months. Management keeps promising that the worst is behind us, but then another office gets gutted. At this point, the trust has completely evaporated. If you are still there, update your resume and keep your head down because nobody seems safe from these surprise rounds of cuts. I truly feel for those in New York who were misled about the state of the restructuring.
Honestly, the surprise factor died a long time ago. We all know how this dance goes by now: they claim it is a one-time reorganization, then the next WARN notice hits a few months later. It is just corporate speak at this stage. If you are waiting for a memo to tell you the truth, you will be waiting forever. Just look out for yourselves and your colleagues, because the company certainly isn't looking out for anyone anymore.
