The 11/03 date definitely feels like a rolling deadline rather than a conclusion. I’ve seen this pattern before at other companies; once they start the WARN notices, it rarely stops at just one wave. Management loves using buzzwords like 'streamlining' to sugarcoat the fact that the culture is being gutted. If your calendar is still clear, count your blessings for now, but definitely keep that resume polished and ready to go. The lack of transparency from leadership is the worst part of the whole process.
Honestly, the constant waiting is almost worse than the layoff itself. Seeing 135 people cut in NY makes it real, and it’s naive to think the other sites won't see similar adjustments by the end of the year. It’s impossible to focus on actual projects when the entire office is just watching their Slack status and waiting for the other shoe to drop. Don't waste your energy trying to impress anyone right now—prioritize getting your personal files backed up and securing references before they lock your access.
