Illumina - Anyone else notice increased hiring freezes?

Has anyone else noticed that open requisitions seem to be getting pulled or put on hold at Illumina? I know someone who applied for a role a few weeks back and they just got notified that the position is no longer available, with no explanation. Also, the number of new jobs being posted seems to have slowed down significantly compared to a few months ago. Is this just a seasonal thing or are we seeing a broader hiring freeze creeping in? Wondering if this is a sign of things to come or just a temporary pause. Anyone have any insight from their respective departments?

I've definitely seen a similar trend. It's not just you. A couple of roles I was tracking disappeared from their careers page without a trace. It's a bit unsettling, especially given the general economic climate. I was hoping for some growth announcements, but this feels more like belt-tightening. Makes you wonder about their Q3/Q4 outlook and if this is a precursor to broader restructuring. Hopefully, it's just a temporary pause for strategic realignment.

Yeah, that's concerning. My network within the company has also been quiet about new opportunities, and the usual buzz about expansion seems to have died down. It's possible it's just a standard end-of-year budget review, but the abrupt cancellation of requisitions is a red flag. It would be helpful if companies were more transparent about these situations instead of leaving candidates in the dark. Fingers crossed it's a short-term blip.
