Is Illumina really as stable as they project?

Been seeing a lot of industry news about restructuring and budget tightening across life sciences companies. While Illumina hasn't had any major public layoff news, the internal buzz is definitely there. I've noticed a slowdown in hiring for non-critical roles and some projects getting put on indefinite hold. It feels like management is being very cautious with spending. I'm trying to assess the situation realistically. Are we heading towards a significant workforce reduction, or is this just standard belt-tightening? It's frustrating not having clear communication. Trying to plan my next career moves, and this uncertainty makes it really difficult. Anyone have intel on how the sales or R&D departments are looking? Are budgets being slashed there? Would appreciate any candid takes from inside the company, even if it's just anecdotal observations.

I'm hearing similar things. The cautious approach to hiring and project delays are noticeable. It's hard to say definitively if it's leading to major layoffs, but the sentiment of belt-tightening is definitely present. Management's focus on cost control seems to be a priority across the board in the current economic climate.
