Anyone else feeling uneasy? Instacart vibe is off...

I've been at Instacart for almost 3 years now, in the product org. I can't shake this feeling that something's coming. Maybe it's just the general market doom and gloom, but things feel different. Projects are being put on hold, hiring slowed to a crawl (even for critical roles), and there's this weird pressure to 'prove your value'. I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid, but I've seen this movie before at other companies. Anyone else feeling this way? Maybe it's just my team, but the water cooler talk is definitely getting quieter.

Definitely feeling it too. I'm on the engineering side and it's the same here. The 'prove your value' thing is super sus. It's like they're prepping for layoffs but trying to make it look performance-based. I'd quietly start updating your resume and networking. Better to be prepared than caught off guard. Good luck!

Honestly, every company goes through cycles. Maybe it's just a temporary pullback after a period of rapid growth? Three years is a long time to be at one place in this industry, so maybe you're just experiencing normal corporate evolution. Not everything is a sign of impending doom. Try talking to your manager directly about your concerns before jumping to conclusions.
