Instacart's silent treatment - What's the real story?

Seeing a lot of chatter and even some mainstream articles hinting at Instacart layoffs, but nothing concrete from the company. It's this weird limbo. On one hand, the general tech/startup market is definitely tightening, so it wouldn't be a shocker. On the other hand, Instacart's IPO was relatively recent, you'd think they'd be more transparent or at least manage optics better if something was brewing. Anyone else working there (or formerly) getting any internal vibes? Is it just the usual performance review churn, or is something bigger happening behind the scenes? Trying to gauge the actual risk versus just noise.

Yeah, it's a strange situation. The lack of communication is definitely fueling the speculation. You'd expect a company that just went public to be more proactive about its messaging, especially if there are potential workforce changes. It feels like they're either trying to avoid negative press or are genuinely undecided on how to handle things. Hoping someone with direct knowledge can shed some light, because this uncertainty isn't great for morale.
