ICE - Market conditions impacting our area?

Curious to hear from others in the trading tech/data side of ICE. Given the current market volatility and the general economic outlook, has anyone else noticed a slowdown or a shift in priorities on their projects? We've seen a few initiatives get shelved recently, and there's definitely a push for cost-saving measures. It's not at the point where I'm worried about my job, but the lack of clarity on what's coming next is a bit concerning. Are other departments experiencing the same? Is this just a cyclical thing in the financial services industry, or is ICE specifically feeling the squeeze in certain areas? Just looking to understand the broader picture and if this is something to be more actively aware of.

Yeah, definitely feeling the pinch here too. We've had a few roadmap items pushed back, and there's a lot more scrutiny on any new spend. Seems like the focus has shifted squarely to efficiency and maintaining current systems rather than greenfield development. Less exciting, but understandable given the macroeconomic climate. Makes you wonder about the long-term investment strategy.

I can confirm that sentiment. There's been a noticeable ramp-up in discussions around cost optimization across the board. Projects that aren't directly tied to revenue generation or critical risk management are definitely on the back burner. It's a bit of a 'hunker down' mentality, which can be a drag, but it’s probably a prudent move for the business right now.
