Intercontinental Exchange - Performance reviews and project funding feeling tighter?

Just finished my performance review cycle at ICE and it felt more intense than usual. Lots of emphasis on 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' across the board. Also, noticed a few projects I was involved with have had their budgets significantly cut or put on hold indefinitely. It's not like we're bleeding people, but it feels like the company is tightening the belt in subtle ways. Curious if this is a company-wide trend or just specific to my division. Has anyone else seen a shift in how performance is being measured or how project resources are being allocated? Wondering if this is a precursor to something larger or just standard business cycle stuff. Any insights from others in different areas would be helpful.

I've noticed similar discussions at my team too. The focus on efficiency is definitely a buzzword lately, and it seems to be translating into budget scrutiny. We've had a couple of smaller initiatives get shelved, with the justification being a need to prioritize core revenue-generating activities. It's understandable given the market climate, but it does make planning future projects a bit more challenging. Hopefully, it's a temporary phase and not a sign of deeper issues.
