IP Materials - Quiet before the storm?

So, I'm in the Materials division at International Paper, and it's been strangely quiet lately. Like, *too* quiet. Usually, around this time of year, there's a lot of talk about targets, projects, and resource allocation. But lately, it feels like management is holding their cards very close to their chest. No major new initiatives, a lot of 'wait and see' attitudes. Some colleagues are mentioning the economic headwinds, but it feels more specific than that. Am I just being paranoid, or does anyone else in IP Materials feel like we're in a holding pattern, possibly leading up to something significant? Just trying to gauge the general sentiment.

I'm seeing similar things on my end. It's definitely an unusual lull, and the lack of clear direction is making it hard to plan. My team is feeling a bit of the uncertainty too. We're trying to stay productive and focused on our current tasks, but the silence from leadership is definitely raising some eyebrows. Hopefully, we'll get some clarity soon because this 'wait and see' approach isn't sustainable for long-term planning or team morale. Keep us posted if you hear anything concrete.
